Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice
">The Fleet Maintenance team is seeking a motivated and skilled Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice to join their workshop team. As an apprentice, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of heavy vehicles, including fire appliances, under the supervision of experienced tradespeople.
">Key responsibilities:

- Assist with the repair and maintenance of heavy vehicles and equipment">
- Learn and develop skills in heavy vehicle mechanical trade, including electrical systems and auto transmission">
- Participate in manufacturer and in-house training to maintain competencies and acquire a trade certificate">
- Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced workshop environment">
Required skills and qualifications:
">Eligibility for enrolment in or progression towards achievement of the relevant Trade Certificate in, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.
">Commitment to complete a four year apprenticeship and obtain a nationally recognised qualification.
">Desirable requirements:

- Valid driver's licence">
- Ability to diagnose potential faults and provide practical and safe solutions">
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and auto transmission">
