Heavy Equipment Diesel Fitter Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Diesel Fitter to join our team in Townsville. This permanent full-time position will see you focus on all aspects of Heavy Diesel mechanics and mobile plant equipment fitting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety Commitment: Exercise a high standard of precaution and duty of care to yourself and others.
  • Overhaul minor and major hydraulic and mechanical components on various equipment.
  • Conduct diagnostic work, failure analysis, and repairs; liaise with technical specialists when required.
  • Complete and submit relevant paperwork and reports.
  • Supervise, mentor, and coach assistance for apprentices.
Requirements:
  • Hold a minimum Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Possess experience and skillset in Heavy Diesel mechanics and field service fitting, with demonstrated work experience and technical knowledge of construction equipment.
  • Display a positive can-do attitude.
  • Demonstrate analytical thinking - navigate complex technical issues in repair and maintenance services with minimal to zero rework.
  • Exhibit autonomous productivity - plan work fronts efficiently and effectively, delivering quality outcomes.
