Heritage Consultant Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Heritage Consultant to oversee complex proposals and projects with technical expertise.

This role requires efficient project management, compliance, quality, and delivery as key focus areas.

The successful candidate will work closely with clients across diverse industries addressing environmental and social challenges.

Main Responsibilities
  • Create technical outputs, collaborate with senior team members to ensure Project Delivery Excellence, and develop client relationships.
  • Prepare heritage statements, cultural management plans, and due diligence assessments.
  • Conduct Aboriginal and historical heritage assessments, including field surveys, stakeholder consultation, and reporting.
  • Engage with Traditional Owner groups, government agencies, and industry stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic advice on heritage compliance in NSW.
  • Review and control reports and proposals, ensuring accuracy and complexity.
  • Author or co-author abstracts, papers, presentations for industry events or conferences.
  • Mentor junior team members in heritage investigations and reporting.
Qualifications and Experience Required
  • Honours degree in Archaeology, Heritage Management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 9 years of experience in heritage consulting, focusing on renewables or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of NSW heritage legislation and approvals processes.
  • Experience conducting fieldwork and stakeholder consultation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Full Australian working rights and a valid driver's licence.
