Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Wollondilly Support and Community Care Inc. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing person-centered care and support to our clients, enabling them to achieve their goals and live independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one support to clients in their homes, community settings, or other designated areas, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, their families, and care teams, ensuring a collaborative approach to care.
  • Ensure all supports are delivered in accordance with client goals, support plans, and organizational policies.
  • Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to Work Health and Safety requirements and reporting any incidents or concerns.
  • Comply with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) legislation, Aged Care Act, and other relevant regulations.
Requirements
  • Certificate III in a related field or equivalent experience in the industry.
  • Sound knowledge of the NDIS, including Consumer Directed Care and Person-Centred Approach.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, families, and care teams.
  • Excellent communication and written skills.
  • Understanding of boundaries and confidentiality when working with clients and their care teams.
  • Experience working with diverse client groups, including CALD, Aboriginal, Dementia, Mental Health, Frail Aged, Younger People with a Disability, and their Carers.
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence and access to a fully registered and insured vehicle.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check and current First Aid Certificate.
  • COVID-19 and flu vaccinations.
Desired Requirements
  • Experience working with people with a disability.
  • Experience working with complex mental health/complex behaviors.

This is a casual position, and the pay structure will be governed by the SCHADS award Level 2. Salary packaging and superannuation will be available.
