This role provides expert cultural advice, advocacy and intervention to support Aboriginal people experiencing social, emotional and wellbeing concerns.
The successful applicant will work closely with mental health professionals to develop and implement culturally appropriate strategies to address the unique needs of individuals and families in crisis.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with mental health teams to provide comprehensive cultural advice and advocacy services to Aboriginal clients.
- Work closely with community members to promote mental health awareness and education within Aboriginal communities.
- Develop and implement culturally sensitive interventions to support individuals and families experiencing social, emotional and wellbeing challenges.
- Deep understanding of Aboriginal culture and its impact on mental health outcomes.
- Proven experience working with Aboriginal communities and a strong ability to build trust and rapport.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
