About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Assessor to join our team of credit professionals. As a Credit Assessor, you will play a critical role in making complex risk-based decisions on loan applications and providing recommendations to enhance our lending processes and credit policy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessing loan applications and making risk-based decisions within agreed service offerings
  • Demonstrating compliance with policies and procedures to operate within our risk appetite
  • Exercising delegated lending authority with care and diligence
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with lending teams and stakeholders
  • Providing advice and guidance on credit risk, lending, and policy
  • Reviewing loan applications and complex scenarios with lenders
  • Collaborating on loan applications with lenders
  • Reviewing financial analysis for self-employed and complex structures
  • Ensuring policy and sound lending practices are applied consistently
Requirements

We are looking for someone with extensive experience in credit, whether in a decisioning capacity or a role with a strong focus on credit risk assessment. Your strong assessment skills, comprehensive lending knowledge, and understanding of risk appetite will be essential in analysing complex loan applications.
