As a Business-to-Business Credit Analyst, you will be responsible for assessing the credit risk related to financing operating fleets, equipment lines, and single asset credits for customers. You will also administer the credit approval process and ongoing financial monitoring of the customer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Senior Credit Manager in planning, developing, and executing credit risk policies and procedures.
  • Maintain contemporary legislative knowledge related to credit activities.
  • Investigate credit worthiness of potential and existing B2B customers, including analysing customer financial statements, key strategic and business risks, and how well these are managed, prior to entering into or increasing business arrangements, and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Ensure the Group's security interests are protected through checking effective registration with the Personal Property Securities Register.
  • Maintain cumulative credit loss registers and support all lender due diligence processes.
  • Support the Credit Risk Officer in preparing monthly management reporting.
  • Through the Credit Risk Manager, ensure compliance with credit approval conditions, account activation, and establishment and maintenance of credit limits.

Requirements

  • Strong financial reporting analysis, analytical, and numerical skills.
  • Business acumen and commercial pragmatism, with the ability to analyse customer strategic risks, structures, and operations in the context of implications for credit risk assessments.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, as well as high-quality attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, transaction-oriented environment.
  • 3 years' experience working in a credit risk analyst role in a financial institution.
  • Experience in developing and implementing credit scorecards for corporate and individuals, together with associated analysis of effectiveness of such scorecards.
