Project Finance Specialist Role


Our team seeks a highly skilled Project Finance Specialist to support transaction-related processes, including project appraisal, negotiations, due diligence, and legal documentation. The ideal candidate will have expertise in financial analysis, credit submissions, and financial modeling.

  • Financial Analysis: Conduct P&L, BS, CF, EVA, and other types of financial analysis to evaluate project viability.
  • Credit Submissions: Prepare new proposals, variation requests, and annual reviews for potential projects.
  • Project Analysis: Manage credit and financial aspects of project analysis, including financial analysis of companies, technical and operational appraisals, production of financial projections, security, and cash-flow models.
  • Financial Modeling: Review and build project models for new business opportunities, focusing on sensitivity analysis and financial forecasting.
  • Project Finance Ratings: Produce ratings using the internal rating tool for new projects and existing projects on an annual basis or as needed.
  • Prudential Monitoring: Participate in monitoring of loan exposures, preparing regular reports based on client meetings, site visits, financial reviews, and research.
  • Research and Due Diligence: Gather and analyze project-related information through independent inquiry and due diligence.
  • Project Coordination: Maintain updated knowledge and closely monitor projects assigned to primary account officers, assisting with coordination when required.

This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for structuring, executing, and closing transactions with minimal direction from senior team members.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 4-6 years' experience in project finance
  • Strong background in financial modeling, deal structuring, and infrastructure or energy sectors
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • Master's degree or MBA preferred
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, valuation, and credit analysis
