What you'll contribute to

The role of the Senior Project Manager is to initiate, plan and deliver projects by creating and executing plans, forming and directing project teams and working with stakeholders, to complete project deliverables on time, within budget and aligned to quality standards.

This Senior Project Manager will be working on an upcoming project here at TFA – Used Vehicle Inventory Management, in our commercial domain

How you'll make an impact

  • Carry out project management activities in accordance with EPMO standards
  • Develop and implement Project Management Plans
  • Execute projects in accordance with the plans
  • Control projects by tracking progress against the plan, taking action to correct variance, controlling scope and ensuring risks and issues are managed
  • Ensure change management activities are defined and carried out
  • Adhere to EPMO and IT governance standards
  • Maintain all project data including making regular updates to the schedule, budget, RAID logs, scope change logs and project status reports
  • Form and lead the project team
  • Engage and manage vendors who are producing outputs for the project (in collaboration with IT)
  • Build relationships and communicate with project stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Business Owners by ensuring the project is set up to deliver the business requirements
  • Ensure outputs satisfy requirements to enable benefits to be realised
  • Chair project team meetings to update progress and resolve issues and risks
  • Present status and escalate items to the Project Sponsor and Steering Committee
  • Meet regularly with Project Sponsors and Business Owners to escalate decisions and seek direction
  • Ensure the solution is successfully transitioned into production, including coordination of implementation and post-implementation activities

Key Tasks

  • Project Management including: Schedule management, Resource management, Budget management, Risk and Issue management, maintaining a central repository and following up on resolutions
  • Ensure the TFA Project Delivery Framework is followed
  • Prepare regular project status reports
  • Prepare Steering Committee packs and present at Steering Committee meetings
  • Maintain up to date project data in Clarity (project details, resources, financials, risks, issues, etc.)
  • Timesheet approvals
  • Attend EPMO quality audits
  • On-board new team members
  • Stakeholder management
  • Vendor management

Your attributes

  • Relevant experience as Senior Project Manager – Ideally 10 years +
  • Strong senior level stakeholder management skills and interpersonal communications skills
  • Managed budgets in excess of $5M
  • Managed projects of over 6 months duration
  • Leading teams of 20 plus people
  • Managed senior, experienced resources
  • Experience managing agile, hybryd and waterfall projects
  • Experience managing complex projects e.g.:

  • multi-disciplinary teams

  • teams/stakeholders in multiple geographies
  • multiple parallel work streams
  • multiple business units involved
  • high risk / high stakes environments
  • complex technology integrations

  • Financial Services background

  • Prior experience with in mid – large businesses
  • Experience in Agile ways of working
  • Relevant formal qualifications and certifications, or working towards same eg PMBOK, PRINCE, AGILE
  • Proven skills with tools such as MSP, Jira, Confluence, ClickUp, or similar systems.
