Job Title: Firewall Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Firewall Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network security and experience with firewall configuration and management.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for executing change management and maintenance activities, participating in major incident meetings, handling incident tickets, preparing reports, upgrading and applying patches to security devices, administering and managing VPNs, renewing certificates of security devices, managing device licensing and lifecycle, creating knowledge base articles, managing problems related to recurring issues, validating and configuring NAT rules on firewalls, managing routing configurations, configuring URL filtering rules, hardening firewalls according to cybersecurity recommendations, updating vulnerability databases and snort rules periodically, adjusting firewall platform settings based on network architecture changes, remedying vulnerabilities based on CIA ratings, peer reviewing firewall rules and templates for correctness and compliance, reviewing SNOW tickets regularly to ensure timely handling, coordinating with third parties and OEMs as needed, participating in daily operations review meetings, supporting cross-functional teams in resolving major incidents, handling service requests beyond Level 1 support, identifying devices needing upgrades based on BCS reports, monitoring emails and tracking responses, managing incidents, service requests, catalogs, knowledge, changes, problems, CMDB/assets, templates, monitoring, and events.

Requirements:
  • Network Security expertise
  • Infrasecurity experience
  • Strong research, critical thinking, and analysis skills (formal training a bonus)
  • Understanding of concepts such as the intelligence cycle, Cyber Kill Chain, and MITRE ATT&CK framework
