Job Title: Cybersecurity Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned cybersecurity specialist to join our team as a Network Security Firewall & Policies Consultant. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced professional to play a crucial role in protecting our network infrastructure from potential threats.

This position requires strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. As a seasoned cybersecurity specialist, you will be responsible for executing change management activities, ensuring seamless transitions and minimizing downtime.

  • Execute change management activities, ensuring seamless transitions and minimizing downtime.
  • Participate in Major Incident meetings to resolve critical issues, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to find solutions.
  • Handle Level 1-4 incident tickets, providing timely and effective support to ensure business continuity.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports to inform stakeholders about security incidents, trends, and best practices.

You will stay up-to-date with the latest security patches and updates, applying them promptly to maintain the integrity of our systems. Additionally, you will administer and manage Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), ensuring secure and reliable connectivity.

Key responsibilities include renewing certificates for security devices, managing device licensing and lifecycle, optimizing our investment and minimizing costs.

  • Create knowledge base articles for operational reuse, sharing expertise and best practices across the organization.

Your expertise will be invaluable in identifying and addressing recurring issues, implementing proactive measures to prevent future occurrences.

  • Validate and configure Network Address Translation (NAT) rules on firewalls, ensuring secure and efficient communication.
  • Manage routing configurations, prefix lists, and route-maps to optimize network performance.
  • Configure URL filtering rules to control traffic above Layer 4-7, preventing unauthorized access and malicious activity.

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong understanding of Network Security principles and technologies, proficiency in Infrasec and related security frameworks.
