Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Partie to join our team at Pier One Sydney Harbour Autograph Collection. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for managing kitchen operations, ensuring compliance with food and beverage policies, and providing exceptional service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage kitchen operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards, as well as Marriott's food and beverage policies.
  • Develop and implement new menu concepts, recipes, and presentation styles to enhance the guest experience.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide exceptional service.
  • Collaborate with the head chef and sous chef to plan and execute special events, banquets, and catering functions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to Marriott's high standards for cleanliness and safety.
Requirements
  • Trade industry qualification or completion of commercial cookery qualification.
  • Relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-end hotel or restaurant environment.
  • Passion for the industry and commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
