Job Overview

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team and support the successful delivery of a biometric onboarding solution for our client.


About the Role

This role will see you working closely with the client, vendor, and technical teams to ensure high-quality outcomes through robust testing practices. You will be responsible for defining and executing test strategies and plans, as well as designing and running test scenarios.


Responsibilities
  • Define and execute test strategies and plans across various stages of software development, including System Integration Testing (SIT), End-to-End (E2E) testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Design and run test scenarios, data validations, and exception handling to ensure the quality of the delivered product.
  • Support the defect lifecycle, including logging, triaging, prioritizing, retesting, and closing defects in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address testing needs and develop comprehensive test plans.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Experience in software testing, preferably in a biometric or identity verification context.
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with stakeholders and team members.
  • Familiarity with testing tools and technologies, such as automation frameworks and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Location

This role is based in Newcastle, with regular travel to other locations as required. We encourage applications from candidates based in Newcastle, the Central Coast, or the Hunter region. Candidates based in Sydney may be considered if they are willing to commute to Newcastle regularly.
