Turf Maintenance Specialist

About the Role
The AFL Australia is seeking a highly skilled Turf Tradesperson to join our team. As a Turf Tradesperson, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and preparation of the arena for the successful delivery of all events under instruction from the Arena Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work within the arena department to produce a high-quality arena surface for all venue hirers
- Implementation and safe use of the SGL Concept
- Oversee all turf replacement for the venue and ensure our quality standards are met
- Oversee any contractors working on the arena and ensure all tasks are completed with minimal impact on the arena surface
- Ensure that all arena turf practices by the venue are compliant with OH&S and EPA requirements
- Accurate presentation of line marking and sponsors grass signage for all venue hirers
- Accurate completion of all required documentation
- Contribute to key projects within and outside of core role
- Work within our team to support turf management at Ikon Park, Whitten Oval and RSEA Park
- Support and contribute to the success of the broader Marvel Stadium/AFL team
Requirements:
- Detailed sports or golf turf management knowledge and experience
- Ability to work collaboratively within the turf management team
