About the Northern Family Violence Program

The Northern Specialist Family Violence Service provides critical support services to victim survivors of family violence and their children. Our program aims to address the complex needs of these individuals, offering a range of specialist family violence programs.

Our service prioritizes victim survivor voice and self-agency, recognizing the importance of empowering them to make informed decisions about their lives. We also advocate for services to expand their understanding of the negative impact of multiple service system responses on individuals.

Your Opportunity

As a Family Violence Therapeutic Referral Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting practitioners to refer clients to family violence counselling. Your expertise will enable the flow of referrals, ensuring that victims receive the necessary support.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate referrals to family violence counselling
  2. Prioritize victim survivor voice and self-agency in referral processes

You will be responsible for advocating for services to improve their understanding of the impact of multiple service system responses on individuals. This involves collaborating with various agencies to develop strategies that promote better outcomes for victims.

Your Skills and Experience

A minimum Bachelor level qualification in Social Work or relevant experience in the family violence sector is required. Please note that equivalency may be met through the 7 Equivalency Principles, in line with the minimum mandatory qualification requirements.
