Philanthropy Role Overview

This role involves leading the execution and development of meaningful engagement plans for major donors across various research projects, with a focus on retaining and growing high-value support.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with mid-to-high value supporters, delivering exceptional customer service, and managing high-stakes events and projects using project management tools.

The successful candidate will be able to manage all stages of donor pipelines, from prospect research to cultivation, and possess a degree qualification in a relevant field.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing bespoke engagement plans for major donors using data and historical CRM information
  • Supporting the philanthropy team through prospect research contributing towards annual acquisition targets
  • Working collaboratively with the philanthropy and brand teams to ensure supporter communications are on-brand and timely
  • Tracking and reporting on the impact of philanthropic activities demonstrating the value of donations to donors and stakeholders
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders for online and face-to-face interactions to develop strong relationships and drive successful outcomes
  • Partnering with the wider marketing and fundraising team to execute the broader strategy including external communications donor engagement events and research showcase
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2+ years of fundraising experience or transferrable skills from other work experience
  • Experience working with mid-to-high value supporters and delivering exceptional customer service
  • Experience managing high-stakes events and projects using project management tools
  • Ability to manage all stages of donor pipelines from prospect research to cultivation
  • Degree qualifications in a relevant field
