About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Peer Recovery Worker to join our Youth Community Living Support Services (YCLSS) team. As an integral member of our team, you will work closely with young people aged 15-24 who are experiencing serious mental illness, providing intensive support to address key development areas that support transition into adulthood.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing tailored community psychosocial support to young people to promote their personal recovery and well-being
  • Supporting young people to develop essential life skills and self-management strategies for recovery
  • Collaborating with the YCLSS team to ensure accurate data recording and reporting in line with Wellways' frameworks

We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of mental health issues and recovery-oriented mental health practice, as well as experience working with young people in a lived experience role. You will also need to have a Certificate 4 in Mental Health, Certificate 4 in Mental Health Peer Work or Certificate 4 in Community Services, or equivalent practical experience.
