About the Role:

As an Infrastructure Reliability Specialist, you will act as the subject matter expert for our applications hosted in the APAC region. This position requires a professional who excels in both independent tasks and collaborative efforts across our global teams and partner teams. You will be supporting a newly onboarded client and will be accountable for several high-availability applications utilized by both internal systems and external-facing APIs. This technology is employed by major banking clients in Australia. In this role, you will be:

  • Concentrating on scalability, high availability, performance, stability, and reliability of software applications
  • Developing automations to streamline operations and processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure positive end-user experiences
  • Applying sound engineering principles, operational discipline, and mature automation to our operating environment and codebase

What You Bring:

To thrive in this role, you will possess:

  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years' experience in an Infrastructure Reliability role
  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructure, including Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Strong knowledge of tools such as Azure Metrics, Log Analytics, Cloud Watch, and Cloud Guard, along with the ability to create dashboards and alerts.
  • Proficient experience with Linux commands.
  • Solid experience in Kubernetes management, deployment strategies, and best practices.
  • Capability to automate repetitive tasks using scripting or automation tools.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices (CI/CD) and relevant tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
  • Strong skills in shell script development
  • Experience in cluster upgrades, patching, and disaster recovery exercises (Cluster, Storage Account, and other services)
  • Ability to create KQL queries for various use cases to extract data from log analytics.
  • Strong knowledge of Helm and Helm development
  • Familiarity with tools like Jira, Bitbucket, and Confluence
