About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinician to join our team at NSW Health. As a Senior Clinician, you will provide clinical leadership and mentorship to our team of psychosocial service providers, utilizing the principles of Trauma Informed Care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality therapeutic interventions to clients.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement activities to enhance clinical practice and service delivery.
  • Contribute to the review and development of service policies and procedures.
  • Provide specialist counselling support in the Alcohol and Other Drugs Service.
  • Conduct assessments, case formulation, and treatment planning, as well as brief interventions and ongoing therapeutic counselling.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor Degree in Social Work or other equivalent qualifications providing eligibility for membership of AASW.
  • Extensive experience and skills in the assessment and treatment of psychosocial evidence-based approaches.
  • Demonstrated capacity to provide clinical governance and team leadership.
  • Proven excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in developing, implementing, and evaluating programs.
  • Demonstrated understanding of contemporary substance use disorders treatment.
  • Highly competent computer skills and ability to utilize research and quality improvement strategies.
