Heavy Commercial Motor Mechanic Job Opportunity

This role is a key position in the maintenance and operation of heavy commercial vehicles. As a Heavy Commercial Motor Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy commercial vehicles.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy commercial vehicles, including trucks, buses, and construction equipment.
  • Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using computerized diagnostic equipment and analytical skills.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance tasks to minimize vehicle downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Interpret technical manuals and schematics to accurately troubleshoot and repair vehicle systems.
  • Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all work performed.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle status and repair needs.
Requirements:
  • A post-trade qualification (Heavy Commercial Motor Mechanic) or related discipline/s; Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification.
  • A heavy rigid endorsement.
  • A valid driver's license; heavy vehicle driver's license preferred.
