Lead Infectious Diseases Specialist - Tropical North Queensland

The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled Lead Infectious Diseases Specialist with extensive experience in managing complex cases and leading multidisciplinary teams.

This permanent full-time role offers a unique opportunity to work in tropical North Queensland, delivering expert infectious disease care and contributing to the development of clinical leadership, teaching, and research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the delivery of high-quality patient care services for patients with infectious diseases.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Lead antimicrobial stewardship programs to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with registrars and other healthcare professionals to develop their skills and expertise.

Requirements
  • FRACP (or equivalent) qualification or registration.
  • Eligibility to register as a specialist in Infectious Diseases with AHPRA.
