Job Description

Scouted is excited to be partnering with a well-respected private residential developer. This group operates with authenticity and a people-centric approach.

This role involves overseeing all financial aspects of their portfolio as the newly created Financial Controller reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Auditing: Ensure compliance with regulations and standards, working closely with internal and external accountants.
  • Project Financial Management: Budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, project analysis, and feasibility studies.
  • Cash Flow & Treasury Management: Oversee funding requirements to ensure liquidity and manage financial risk.
  • Process Involvement & Strategic Support: Implement processes and internal controls for the financial operations, supporting senior leadership in decision-making and business recommendations.
  • Finance Team Leadership & Management: Support and manage the Project and Financial Accounting Team, mentoring junior team members in growth and understanding.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • CPA/CA qualified with 8+ years of experience in financial control, accounting, or related roles within real estate finance, investment, or property development.
  • Strong expertise in financial modelling, project financials, cash flow management, funds management, and/or capital raising.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools.
