We are seeking a skilled professional to deliver high-quality nursing care to emergency and critical care patients, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional patient care in an emergency and critical care setting, prioritizing the highest standards of safety and well-being.
- Collaborate with veterinarians during diagnostic procedures, treatments, and surgeries, upholding best practices in patient care.
- Monitor and manage patient conditions, including post-operative care, and respond to emergencies efficiently.
- Maintain effective communication with the veterinary team, pet owners, and specialists to ensure seamless patient care.
- Keep accurate and detailed patient records, documenting treatment plans, progress notes, and follow-up care.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing is mandatory.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency or critical care setting is highly desirable.
- Demonstrate strong technical nursing skills, including venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, and emergency response.
- Show flexibility to work across a 24/7 roster, adapting to the dynamic nature of emergency and critical care.
- Possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and in a team.
