Critical Care Specialist

The Greencross Veterinary Hospital Werribee is seeking an experienced Emergency Veterinarian to join their team on a permanent part-time or full-time basis. Our state-of-the-art facility operates 24/7, offering a wide range of services to pet owners in western Melbourne.
Responsibilities- Provide emergency and critical care in a busy ECC department.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage complex cases requiring specialist care.
- Handle high-acuity cases such as mechanical ventilation for critically ill patients, septic cases requiring extensive monitoring, and postoperative ICU referrals.
- Contribute to on-the-job training of DVM students from the University of Melbourne and to the Greencross Vet Hospital ECC internship program.
- Participate in ongoing education activities, including morbidity and mortality rounds and ECC journal club discussions.
- Maintain a flexible roster that supports shift work and ensures time off for recovery.
- Experienced ECC Veterinarian with a passion for emergency and critical care.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and train students and interns.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and participation in our internship program.
- Eligibility to work in Australia; visa and relocation support available for international applicants.
