Production Manager Job Summary

Lead operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Direct daily activities to achieve production targets, ensuring quality and efficiency standards are met.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct daily operations to achieve production targets while ensuring compliance with quality and efficiency standards.
  • Develop departmental procedures to improve efficiency and safety.
  • Build and manage a high-performing team, fostering accountability and collaboration.
  • Oversee costs related to production consumables and labour overtime.
  • Assist in the development of production budgets and monitor expenses against targets.
  • Drive the implementation of Continuous Improvement methodologies throughout the Production process.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed.
  • Support the organisation's commitment to quality and environmental standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Minimum 5 years' experience as a Production Manager in a high-volume multi-shift facility. Engineering degree or equivalent technical experience.

Strong experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies. Proven ability to drive change and drive team accountability. Experience in budgeting, rostering, and training.

Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems. Understanding of relevant safety regulations and compliance requirements.
