Project Manager Role Overview

The Project Manager will oversee the coordination of a research project, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of results.

  • Coordinate the implementation of the research proposal in partnership with the Chief Investigator and Investigator team to achieve the research aims as articulated by the research proposal.
  • Participate in consultation, engagement, recruitment, data collection and translation activities including driving to external sites as required.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Implement research and project management activities to meet the projects stated aims.
  2. Develop and maintain effective communication and liaison with stakeholders and project participants.
  3. Ensure compliance with appropriate legislative and institutional requirements.
  4. Achieve research project objectives.
Requirements:
  1. Hold a tertiary qualification and demonstrate strong subsequent experience or equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience training or professional accreditation. A higher degree qualification is desirable.
  2. Demonstrate research project management organisational skills using a broad range of administrative and management techniques to maximise the effectiveness of project team service delivery.
  3. Knowledge of University policies and interrelationships between policies and activities would be advantageous.
  4. Proven organisational workload management skills including the ability to prioritise workload to meet strict deadlines.
  5. Hold a current C class driver's license to undertake the inherent requirements of the role.
