Poultry Production Manager

Our company is seeking an experienced Poultry Production Manager to lead the broiler grow out in a dynamic and rapidly expanding poultry meat business. The successful candidate will oversee and manage a team of farm managers to achieve optimal productivity, foster a culture of growth and continuous improvement, and ensure adherence to biosecurity, welfare, safety and quality systems.

The Opportunity

This position reports directly to the General Manager, Farming, and is responsible for a grow out consisting of 6 million broilers in the field at any one time. Our company has a proud tradition of growing and marketing high-quality poultry meat to the market.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of farm managers to achieve optimal productivity;
  • Foster a culture of growth, compliance and continuous improvement;
  • Ensure adherence to biosecurity, welfare, safety and quality systems;
  • Oversee farm management training and development;
Requirements
  • At least five years' experience in broiler production;
  • Knowledge of the technical aspects of broiler production demonstrated by results;
  • Leadership skills to motivate, mentor and inspire a team of livestock managers;
  • A hands-on management style;
  • A forward-thinking, strategic planning mindset.

This position will equally suit an experienced broiler pool manager or a complex manager who is ready for the next step in their career. We are looking for someone who can think strategically and make informed decisions to drive business success.
