CSSD Technician

Our hospital's Perioperative Service Department is seeking a skilled professional to provide high-quality service to theatres and other clinical areas.

  1. Perform thermal disinfection inspections, packaging, and sterilization of all instrumentation for theatre and other clinical areas.
  2. Maintain compliance with AS/NZ standards 4187 2014 and GENCA regulations.
  3. Operate, interpret, and document machinery operational requirements.
  4. Report and document all quality activities.
  5. Prioritize instrumentation and processes efficiently.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Certificate IV in Sterilisation Services or be working towards it.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of instrumentation and its applications.
  • Solid understanding of AS/NZ 4187 2014 and its implications.
  • Experience with tracking systems and data management.
  • Endoscopy reprocessing skills or willingness to learn.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail for high-quality results.
  • Intermediate computer literacy skills for MS Office and various databases.
