Job Opportunity

Komatsu Australia is seeking a Lead Engineer to join our regional engineering team. As a key member of the quality team, you will play a crucial part in investigating non-conformances, warranty claims, and driving corrective actions to improve product and process quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead quality activities across the region, with focus on PDI and Reman operations.
  • Investigate non-conformances and warranty claims; drive corrective actions to improve product and process quality.
  • Perform root cause analysis, audit suppliers and processes, and collaborate with engineering and workshop teams to implement effective solutions.
  • Maintain and improve the quality management system; support continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Proven experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of root cause analysis, failure investigation, and corrective action implementation.
  • Hands-on technical expertise with mechanical systems and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience conducting audits and reviewing quality management systems; ISO 9001 knowledge advantageous.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide and influence a technical team.
