Job Role:

We are seeking experienced professionals to provide Radio Dispatch Services as part of our Fixed-term and Casual Employment Register.

As a Radio Dispatch Operator, you will be responsible for receiving calls and dispatching police resources accurately and promptly in accordance with standard operational procedures.

This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment, exercising sound judgement and discretion in crisis situations.

  • You require well-developed radio/telephone communication experience, preferably gained in a time-critical emergency services or similar environment.
  • Able to operate effectively in a team that is subject to workflow pressures and stressful situations.
  • Acceptable keyboard/computer skills with the ability to determine work priorities in accordance with operational procedures.
  • Able to quickly acquire knowledge of police operations and services provided, as well as Tasmanian geography/demography.
