About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Highway Infrastructure Development Specialist to join our team on the Eastern Freeway – Burke to Tram Alliance project.

Job Summary

  • Provide onsite engineering services and technical support to ensure the planning, implementation, and maintenance of traffic management meet specified guidelines.
  • Exercise professional judgment and negotiation skills to resolve traffic management issues.
  • Develop financial management skills, including identifying cost efficiencies and managing budgets.
  • Report on traffic engineering performance, compliance, and defects or non-conformance.
  • Conduct risk assessments for developing Traffic Management Plans.
  • Ensure the safety of engineers, workforce, and general public through compliant Traffic management plans and control devices during construction activities.

About You

  • You will hold a relevant engineering degree and have previous experience in a similar traffic/civil role.
  • Proven experience leading and working on large-scale projects with high traffic volumes and technical, logistical, and traffic management delivery challenges.
  • Demonstrate a safety-conscious approach to daily work, along with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Lead from the front, encouraging collaboration between departments for optimal project outcomes.
  • Effective communication skills and a solid understanding of traffic management issues are crucial for interacting with local roads authorities and other stakeholders.

Compensation Package

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, reflecting the importance of this role in delivering complex infrastructure projects.
