The Department of Transport and Planning is seeking a highly skilled Highway Assurance Specialist to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects, contribute to the growth and development of the department, and make a meaningful impact on Victorian communities.

**Job Summary:**

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Metropolitan Transport Division in Transport Services Group, which maintains and renews existing assets and plans, develops and delivers upgrades to the metropolitan road network, pedestrian, cycling, bus, and tram infrastructure. As a Highway Assurance Specialist, you will exercise professional judgment to achieve project assurance on road and bridge works, ensuring they meet scope, quality, cost, time, safety, and environmental requirements.

**Key Responsibilities:**

Project Assurance: Continuously assure that works are executed in accordance with specifications, technical standards, codes of practice, and legislation.

Project Monitoring: Provide timely advice and records on the progress of works, including against schedule, budget, resources plan, and support the evaluation of contractor claims.

Construction and OH&S Advice: Provide advice on construction practices, safe execution of works, and innovative responses to complex construction and traffic management problems where defined policy and procedures do not always exist.

Quality and Risk Management: Deliver risk-based surveillance plans and undertake surveillance and audits in accordance with that plan.

Community Engagement: Actively engage with key stakeholders and the community as required.

**What We Offer:**

We offer a competitive salary range of $95,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits, including:
