Support Coordinator- Cairns

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Coordinator to join our team. As a Support Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting people with disabilities to achieve their goals.

You will assist NDIS participants to implement their plan and increase their capacity to manage/direct their own support. This will involve helping them have greater opportunities to explore and connect with their community and alternative support options, strengthening their informal support networks, and maximizing the value for money they receive from their supports.

The Support Coordinator will effectively communicate and maintain relationships with the NDIA, ensuring that referrals are made in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for negotiating services and developing service agreements, arranging assessments and determining funding requirements, linking to mainstream or community services, and being the key contact for service issues and complaints.
