ThompsonCook, a prominent accounting firm in Melbourne and Sydney, is seeking an experienced Compensation Manager to lead their high-volume payroll team.

Salary

A competitive day rate of AU$ 150,000 - 180,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description

  • Manage the entire payroll process from onboarding through to terminations, including month-end responsibilities, compliance, and reporting.
  • Lead and oversee a payroll team of 3-4 members, providing support, training, and development opportunities.
  • Deliver compliant and accurate fortnightly and monthly payrolls for over 1,600 staff.
  • Collaborate with the P&C, Finance, management, and staff regarding all payroll-related matters.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of end-to-end payroll experience, preferably in high-volume environments.
  • Proven track record of managing small to medium-sized payroll teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret and apply awards and contracts.
  • Experience working with larger ERP/Payroll systems.
