About the Role

Randstad is partnering with a leading transport and logistics company in Melbourne to find an experienced Transport Operations Supervisor to join their team.

The company is a well-established organization with a strong presence in the North-West suburbs of Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations to achieve planned KPIs, cost outcomes, safety measures, and service levels
  • Conduct quality checks on materials and stock, identifying and reporting damages, shortages, or quality deficiencies
  • Foster a culture of excellence, pride, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with truck drivers and operations support teams to ensure smooth shift operations
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers to deliver high-quality service
  • Ensure compliance with OH&S requirements and maintain a clean and organized working environment
  • Manage inventory and activity logs, and ensure efficient, safe, and secure loading, unloading, and movement of merchandise
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving mentality and analytical nature
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make prompt decisions
  • Team player with a focus on supporting all aspects of the business
  • Knowledge of CoR regulations and compliance in the transport industry
  • Experience with FMCG transport operations
  • Forklift license (desirable)
  • High motivation and energy, with a focus on delivering outstanding customer experience results
  • Competence with Microsoft programs
  • Background in express and general freight (preferable)
