About the Role

Randstad is partnering with a leading organisation in the Transport and Logistics market to find an experienced Transport Operations Supervisor for their Victorian business.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where ongoing development and growth are highly encouraged.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations to achieve planned KPIs, cost outcomes, safety measures, and service levels
  • Perform quality checks on materials and identify/report damages, shortages, or quality deficiencies
  • Foster a culture that takes pride in performance, delivery, and work environment, and seeks to continually improve
  • Work with Truck Drivers and Operations Support to ensure smooth shift operations
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers to ensure high standards of service delivery
  • Ensure compliance with OH&S requirements and maintain a clean working environment
  • Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs
  • Ensure efficient, safe, and secure loading, unloading, movement, and packing of merchandise
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a similar position
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving mentality and analytical nature
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions promptly
  • Team player with a strong focus on supporting all parts of the business
  • Knowledge of CoR regulations and Compliance in the transport industry
  • Knowledge of FMCG transport operations
  • Forklift License (desirable)
  • High level of motivation and energy with a strong focus on achieving outstanding customer experience results
  • Competence with Microsoft Programs
  • Background in express and general freight (preferable)
