Job Title: Operation Supervisor

Our client, a well-established organisation in Melbourne's North-West suburbs, is seeking a Transport Operations Supervisor to join their team. As a key member of the operations team, you will be responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring safety measures, and maintaining high service levels.

The Role

As a Transport Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing daily operations to achieve planned KPIs, cost outcomes, safety measures, and service levels
  • Performing quality checks on materials and identifying and reporting damages, shortages, or quality deficiencies
  • Fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Working with Truck Drivers and Operations Support areas to ensure smooth operations
  • Maintaining strong relationships with internal and external customers
  • Ensuring compliance with OH&S requirements and maintaining a clean working environment
  • Managing inventory and activity logs
  • Ensuring efficient, safe, and secure loading, unloading, movement, and packing of merchandise

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A minimum of three years' experience in a similar position
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A problem-solving mentality and analytical nature
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions promptly
  • A team player with a strong focus on supporting all parts of the business
  • Knowledge and experience with CoR regulations and Compliance relating to the transport industry
  • Knowledge of FMCG transport operations
  • Forklift License (desirable)
  • A high level of motivation and energy with a strong focus on achieving outstanding customer experience results
  • Competence with Microsoft Programs
  • Background in express and general freight (preferable)
