About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Aged Care Facility Leader to join our team at Southern Cross Care Queensland. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated professional to lead a team of staff and manage resources efficiently to ensure the highest quality of life for residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Site Strategy: Assist with the development, monitoring, and implementation of the business plan for the site, ensuring alignment with organisational standards.
  • Resident Care: Ensure residents' care needs are assessed holistically and plans of care are developed and implemented in consultation with residents and their representatives.
  • Asset and Site Management: Oversee and monitor ongoing reactive and preventative maintenance requirements for the site, collaborating with the Property Team.
  • Financial Management: Ensure cost-effective performance and maintain occupancy rates, providing regular and timely statistical data on facility demographics, incident trackers, and other requested data.
  • Legislative Compliance and Continuous Improvement: Ensure clinical policies/guidelines are in place, ensuring compliance with the Aged Care Act and addressing non-compliances through action planning.
  • People and Performance Management: Regularly communicate individual and team goals through staff appraisals and other formal or informal meetings, ensuring staff are qualified, managed, developed, and supported to meet their potential.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure compliance with all Workplace Health & Safety instructions, promoting education and workplace performance that supports safe practices, and conducting timely incident investigations and follow-ups when necessary.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary package, including a generous Not-for-Profit salary sacrifice option. Our salary ranges between $90,000 - $120,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. Additionally, we provide ongoing individualised training and mentoring programs, an Employee Assistance Program, and purpose-driven work in a supportive organisation.
