Senior Consultant

We are seeking experienced Consultants and Senior Consultants to enhance our expanding Brisbane Advisory Team. We are looking for dynamic individuals with a background in consulting or advisory roles. If you are interested in:

Contributing to the strategy and execution of Australia's most significant infrastructure initiatives.

Collaborating with RPS senior management and our clients to devise innovative solutions for transport, education, health, property, energy, and renewable projects.

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Ability to articulate the value of effective project development services to enhance a business's financial performance and/or governmental reputation.
  • Established a network and strong market presence across the public and private sectors in NSW/QLD/VIC relevant to government infrastructure projects.
  • Capability to leverage existing relationships to identify and develop immediate business prospects.
  • Commercially savvy, ideally with experience in a consulting or contracting environment and/or the public sector.
  • This position demands a high level of drive, ambition, and adaptability, as it is part of a broader team focused on innovation and thought leadership.
  • A keen eye for identifying talented professionals and a passion for building a team of exceptional individuals at all levels to meet our clients' future needs.
  • Engagement in complex project development initiatives. As a team member or an individual within a client team, you will be expected to capitalize on client and commercial opportunities.
  • When not engaged with clients, support bid writing, bid coordination, and other activities that enhance RPS's capacity to secure work.
  • Utilizing your skills throughout the project life-cycle, your primary role will be to provide high-level expertise to the Project team, including but not limited to:
  • Viewing projects from the client's perspective;
  • Delivering presentations with skill and confidence;
  • Producing high-quality reports with meticulous attention to detail;
  • Monitoring and maintaining quality standards;
  • Demonstrating efficiencies and effective processes;
  • Building trust-based relationships with clients.

Education and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Law, Project Management, Economics, or Commerce/Finance are preferred.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in project development, project/program management, assurance, and risk management, including managing projects for government and/or infrastructure delivery clients.
  • Demonstrated history of collaborating with clients in the infrastructure sector.
  • Proven ability to establish long-term, trusted relationships with clients and partners.
  • A strong understanding and demonstrated experience with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent skills in managing relationships, teams, projects, and issues.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels to achieve outcomes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and cultivate business relationships.
