Position Overview

As a result of an internal advancement, we are seeking a Senior Sustainability Consultant to enhance our Brisbane Team. In this pivotal role, you will provide expert technical guidance within our expanding ANZ Sustainability practice across diverse projects, including sports facilities, transportation systems, civil works, and other developments in the built environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver clear, evidence-based recommendations to clients and internal teams on all aspects of ESG and sustainability.
  • Stay informed about current and emerging industry and economy-wide issues (codes, regulations, initiatives) related to net zero emissions and climate change impacts on client operations.
  • Conduct technical sustainability assessments and coordinate design disciplines to optimize project design and enhance efficiencies.
  • Develop tailored solutions that assist clients in achieving low-carbon, net zero carbon, and/or carbon neutral objectives for their projects and supply chains.
  • Contribute to our ScopeXTM commitment to reduce client carbon emissions by at least 50% as part of our Sustainable Legacies ESG strategy.

What We Seek:

  • Ideally, 5+ years of experience in an Engineering Consultancy, Main Contractor, or Government Agency providing technically robust, sustainable solutions for construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation, building and planning codes, notable sustainability policies, and environmental assessment systems.
  • Experience with sustainability/wellness rating tools (e.g., Infrastructure Sustainability (ISCA), Green Star (GBCA), WELL Building Standard (IWBI), NABERS, LEED) is highly regarded, with accredited status being a plus.
  • A demonstrated passion for achieving optimal design and engineering results.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Architecture, Sustainability, Climate Change, or Environmental Science/Engineering (or similar).
  • Ability to obtain defense clearance (desirable).
