The position of Senior Clinical Occupational Therapist plays a vital role in the provision of clinical leadership within our occupational therapy service. This includes optimising care delivery and fostering an environment where teamwork thrives.

This senior level role requires a highly skilled and experienced occupational therapist to lead the development, implementation and evaluation of occupational therapy services in the acute care setting.

A successful candidate will have extensive clinical experience as an occupational therapist, with demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement activities or service evaluation processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic direction to the occupational therapy team
  • Designing and implementing occupational therapy programs and services
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Mentoring and supervising junior staff members

Requirements:

  • Full registration with the relevant professional body
  • Extensive clinical experience as an occupational therapist at a senior level
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with limited supervision
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, manage a demanding workload and apply high-level reasoning skills
