About the Position

We seek a skilled and dedicated Senior Occupational Therapist to provide specialist consultation services and make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.

This role involves working collaboratively with the GEM Leadership Team to achieve unit goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality clinical Occupational Therapy services to maximise occupational outcomes of patients with age-related diagnoses and cognitive impairment.
  • Take a leadership role in all aspects of Occupational Therapy team function, promoting an inter-disciplinary approach.
  • Work collaboratively as part of the GEM Leadership team within a dynamic health environment.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate therapy/activity groups in collaboration with team members.

Requirements:

  • You will have high levels of responsibility and organisational skills, including prioritising work, meeting deadlines, and delegating tasks appropriately.
  • You will possess broad experience and clinical expertise in assessing and treating clients with a range of disorders and disabilities.
  • You will hold a degree or equivalent qualification that entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the relevant authority.
  • You will have demonstrated experience in clinical management and leadership within a discrete unit, including service development and evaluation.
