Teaching and Research Opportunity

We are seeking a Lecturer in Occupational Therapy to contribute to teaching and research within the School of Health Sciences. The successful candidate will be committed to advancing health education for the next generation of occupational therapists.

The position offers an opportunity to develop and contribute to research and teaching in occupational therapy as part of a multi-disciplinary team at the Faculty of Medicine and Health. Key responsibilities include undertaking educational innovation, curriculum design, and review, engaging in high-quality teaching and learning experiences, and designing and delivering quality educational units of study and experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake leadership roles in educational innovation, curriculum design, and review, contributing to outstanding educational delivery and outcomes.
  • Engage in high-quality teaching and learning experiences that meet the University's expectations and standards for education.
  • Design and deliver quality educational units of study and experiences that support student needs and meet curriculum requirements.
  • Design and deliver multi-disciplinary work-integrated learning units and content.
  • Engage in supervision of higher-degree research students.
  • Apply scholarship and knowledge of contemporary pedagogical practice to innovate education.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have a degree in occupational therapy, or equivalent, and strong or developing research profile evidenced by original, high-quality research. Clinical experience as an occupational therapist in neurology, community practice, occupational/work rehabilitation, or clinical education is highly desirable. You will also have eligibility for registration with AHPRA Australia or existing registration with AHPRA.
