About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our Qantas Group Apprenticeship Program. As an apprentice, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers and be part of a dynamic team that maintains our aircraft fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manufacture and repair aircraft parts to high tolerance using drilling machines, lathes, milling machines, and computer numerical controlled machinery.
  • Work with a variety of materials, including aluminium bronze, aluminium alloys, beryllium copper, stainless steel, titanium, high strength steels, chrome, and nickel.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve high-quality results and meet deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn a hands-on trade.
  • High level of motivation and passion to work in the aviation sector.
  • Exceptional teamwork and communication skills.
  • Good hand skills and ability to use a variety of tooling.
  • Australian Citizenship or hold Australian Permanent Residency Status.
  • Ability to work all shift patterns.
