Position Summary:
We are in search of a dedicated and skilled professional to join our team as a B1.3 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer or Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME). This role offers a permanent, full-time position with a structured workweek.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct maintenance on assigned aircraft, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.
- Complete tasks in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
- Perform inspections, repairs, overhauls, and modifications in line with industry standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities performed.
- Utilize technical data and materials provided for maintenance tasks effectively.
- Execute aircraft maintenance and alterations within certification limits.
- Monitor work progress to ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.
- Keep work areas organized, clean, and free from foreign object debris (FOD).
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all components and parts.
- Assist in planning and scheduling aircraft maintenance activities.
- Provide recommendations regarding inventory levels of parts.
- Ensure protective covers are used on aircraft while in maintenance.
- Mentor junior team members and provide on-the-job training.
- Guide and direct AMEs and apprentices to meet operational goals.
- Address customer inquiries and contribute to resolving any issues.
- Participate in initiatives aimed at improving the workplace environment.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance and modifications.
- Certificate IV in Aero-skills (Mechanical).
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of aviation regulations and compliance standards.
- Attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Proficient in using aircraft maintenance software.
- Compliance with pre-employment drug and alcohol policies.
- Current National Police Check.
- Eligibility to work in the region without restrictions and ability to obtain necessary security clearances.
Desirable:
- Current CASA B1.3 License.
- Experience with helicopter maintenance.
- Familiarity with installations and modifications.
- Experience with Bell, Airbus, and Leonardo helicopters.
- Type Ratings for Bell 212/412, AW139, PT6 series engines, and T53 series engines.
- Competency in computer-aided design software.
