Job Title: Claims and Benefits CoordinatorWe are seeking a skilled professional to coordinate impairment benefit claims and manage disputes in accordance with relevant legislation.Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with Case Managers to effectively manage an impairment benefit claim from end to end, including completing liability assessments, attending and participating in ACCS (where required), draft medical panel submissions, Independent Impairment Assessor consultation/report requests and entitlement to impairment benefit calculation and determinations, review responses and process payments for any impairment benefits given.
  • Implement and maintain efficient procedures and ensure timely communication of any procedural changes. Review against current practices of continuous improvement.
  • Provide reporting and information and responses to queries or correspondence in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Experience in workers compensation/personal injury claims management.
  • Accreditation through WorkSafe AMA guide training.
  • Sound experience in impairment benefit management, assessment and determination.
  • Experience with Victorian workers compensation disputation and litigation processes.
  • Full understanding of the Accident Compensation Act 1985 (AC Act) and Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013 (WIRC Act).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the American Medical Association's Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment, fourth edition (AMA4).
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
