We are seeking an experienced professional with expertise in finance and business operations to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing solutions that drive revenue growth and cost savings.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing financial support and guidance to senior leaders and stakeholders across the organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze business performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategic recommendations to drive growth and profitability.

The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify key commercial business improvement initiatives and ensure they are developed, shaped and evaluated
  • Determine priority of initiatives as well as resourcing, support service and funding requirements
  • Review and challenge the business on key budget assumptions, including adverse operating performance, major maintenance and capital expenditure and cash flows/distributions outcomes
  • Support business in obtaining required approvals, resourcing and funding
  • Assess expenditure (opex, maintenance and capital) and benefit realisation plans and support implementation with project managers and business owners

Requirements:

  • Tertiary accounting, finance or commerce qualifications plus professional accreditation (e.g. CPA, ICA, CFA, Masters of Applied Finance)
  • Proven experience working as a Finance Business Partner in a complex Corporate environment, ideally in Infrastructure, Construction or Energy/resourcing
  • Advanced MS Office skills - Excel
  • Budgeting and forecasting skills and the ability to identify and analyse key business drivers
  • Strong numeracy and operational / financial modelling skills
