Project Cost Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Project Cost Manager to join our team. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality cost management services to our clients.

You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective cost management strategies that meet the needs of our clients. This includes monitoring and controlling project costs, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing cost management plans and budgets
  • Monitoring and controlling project costs, including labour, materials, and equipment
  • Identifying and mitigating potential cost risks and opportunities
  • Coordinating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and effective delivery of projects
  • Providing regular cost reports and updates to project managers and clients

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in cost management, combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Requirements include:

  • Relevant degree in a field such as construction, engineering, or business
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in cost management, preferably in the construction industry
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality cost management services
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously
