Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Communications and Engagement Specialist. This role involves assisting in the development of high-quality collateral and solutions for internal and external stakeholder engagement, communication, corporate affairs, and marketing activities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering, supporting, and guiding the development of high-quality collateral and solutions for internal and external stakeholder engagement, communication, corporate affairs, and marketing activities. They will also lead and deliver the design and implementation of creative and practical communications and engagement initiatives and campaigns to improve workforce awareness, understanding, and engagement.

The role requires contributing to the City's vision by assisting with the identification, development, deployment, and facilitation of strategies and solutions that support the delivery of the City's aspirations. Additionally, the successful candidate will develop and deliver professional, informative, engaging, and innovative internal communications to drive and support enterprise-wide messages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality collateral and solutions for internal and external stakeholder engagement, communication, corporate affairs, and marketing activities.
  • Lead and deliver the design and implementation of creative and practical communications and engagement initiatives and campaigns.
  • Contribute to the City's vision by developing and facilitating strategies and solutions that support the delivery of the City's aspirations.
  • Develop and deliver internal communications to drive and support enterprise-wide messages.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in journalism, communications, public relations, or related field.
  • High level of proficiency with data analysis, using analytics tools, and reporting methodologies.
  • C Class Driver's Licence.
  • National Police Certificate.
