About the Project

The Devonport East Berth E3 Redevelopment is a significant construction project in Tasmania. The project aims to accommodate two new vessels from Finland, replacing the iconic Spirit of Tasmania I&II. As part of this initiative, TT Line has appointed BMD Constructions as the Principal Contractor responsible for overseeing and executing civil, marine, and building works. The upgraded site and facilities will house a new state-of-the-art terminal, resulting in enhanced vessel operation efficiency and an unparalleled customer experience.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our high-calibre team, working with senior members of the project team to achieve optimum production and cost outcomes. As Project Engineer, you will:

  • Lead by example, mentoring Site Engineers and Graduates to achieve innovative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Provide onsite engineering services and technical support to ensure safety, environmental, specification, design, and contractual requirements are met.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Preferably 4+ years' experience on infrastructure projects.
  • Passionate about excellent health, safety, environmental, and quality outcomes.
  • Motivation to achieve value-for-money results.
  • Previous experience with major tier one or two contractors undertaking similar work.
